Client:Johannesburg Social Company

Ikemeleng developed 514 housing units for Johannesburg Social Housing Company in 8 Clusters. The buildings are a combination of 2 and 3 - storey walk up units, in line with SHRA Guidelines. The project completion date is set for the fourth quarter 2019.

40 on Quinn Student Accommodation

40 ON QUINN PROPOSED STUDENT ACCOMMODATION, NEWTOWN

Contract Value: R62 Million

Client: Affa Holdings

For this project the Student Accommodation comprises the conversion of an industrial building into residential accommodation suited for students and young professionals. This entails a 4 - storey and 5 - storey block of 1 Bedroom Units arranged around internal light wells. The ground floor is reserved for a retail component and there is provision for 2 levels of parking to the rear of the building.

Protea Glen

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, PROTEA GLEN

Contract Value: R59 Million (Phase 1)

Client: Affordable Living Solutions Africa 

 

Funded by a Dutch housing developer, this project comprises a medium density sectional title residential development located in Protea Glen, Soweto. A series of two and three-storey apartment blocks are designed as precincts laid out around shared courtyards containing green spaces and childrenʼs play areas. The ultimate development will include a total of 270 residential units. Made up of a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units, with four live/work duplex units. The project will be amongst the first medium to high density residential developments developed in Soweto, pushing the housing market in a new direction in support of a more compact city model.
